CODE OF CONDUCT
In order for this space to be a productive and safe way of talking about points from in class discussions and the materials we read, we must all hold ourselves to some standards regarding digital citizenship.

The following parameters are a way of encouraging good digital citizenship.

Take responsibility not just for your own words, but for the comments you allow on your blog posts. This role will mostly be handled by Sarah and Paige. This means if someone posts something that we determine to be deliberately offensive or inappropriate, it will be deleted. Additionally, if someone posts something that upsets you please bring it to our attention.
Consider eliminating anonymous comments. Please do not post anonymously on this blog. Anonymous posts will most likely be deleted and you will not receive credit for these posts.
Don't feed the trolls. If conversation breaks down, simply choose not to engage. We can continue the discussion during class in a more productive manner.
Take the conversation offline, and talk directly, or find an intermediary who can do so. Often discussions on the blog will bleed into our in-class discussion. Feel free to bring up points directly.
If you know someone who is behaving badly, tell them so. Do this in a kind and professional manner. Also, give your peers the benefit of the doubt. They might leave a comment that is offensive or misrepresentative of an issue without fully understanding that they've made this mistake. Approach each other with kindness.
Don't say anything online that you wouldn't say in person.
